RAPPELLING!

RAPPELLING AT HIGH ROCK:

High Rock Adventures is the first and only on-site Hocking Hills rappelling tour company. No waiting on crowds for your turn to rappel, we operate on pristine private property showcasing our amazing cliffs and rock features. We’re also the only company in the region using state-of-the-art Petzl stainless steel anchoring systems. No trees are damaged and you can rappel in confidence knowing our steel anchors could hold the weight of a large van going over the cliff.

With rappels beginning at 35ft and up to nearly 100ft, this tour is a great blend of nature and adrenaline! You’ll experience three different types of rappels: flat wall, canyon and a large overhang. Rappelling is less physically demanding than rock climbing but doesn’t sacrifice any excitement. We provide all the gear and instruction, no experience necessary.

First we’ll meet at beautiful High Rock House for a safety briefing and tour instructions. Next you’ll gear up and follow your two expert guides through the forest to some of the most scenic rock formations in the Hocking Hills…and jump off of them! Well, sort of….

Once topside, you’ll be safely harnessed to the top anchors and instructed on how to properly descend over the edge to begin your breath-taking journey back to terra firma. After each group member has completed one rappel, you’ll take a short hike to the next challenge area and begin again.
